We are a member of the VEA initiative „Klimafreundlicher Mittelstand“

The VEA - Bundesverband der Energie-Abnehmer e. V. launched the initiative Klimafreundlicher Mittelstand in November 2020. The association itself has been supporting companies from the SME sector for 70 years as a competent energy consultant with expertise. As a registered association, the VEA acts independently of energy suppliers and other companies. Having grown historically from the area of interest representation, the VEA has developed into a consultancy firm for energy issues in the course of the liberalisation of the energy market. However, the VEA continues to work in the political arena to ensure that the needs and interests of small and medium-sized enterprises are heard when it comes to energy policy issues.

TroFilms GmbH erreicht CO2-Fußabdruck-Zertifizierung nach Scope 1 & 2

At TroFilms GmbH, we place a high value on sustainability and climate protection. As a member of the VEA initiative for climate-friendly medium-sized businesses, we have now successfully completed the certification of our CO₂footprint according to the internationally recognised standards of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (Scope 1 & 2).

This certification is based on the operational consolidation approach, which records our company's direct (Scope 1) and indirect (Scope 2) emissions. It includes, among other things:

• Scope 1: Direct emissions, e.g. from our vehicle fleet or the combustion of fossil fuels in our plants.
• Scope 2: Indirect emissions resulting from our energy consumption, such as electricity or district heating.

We are proud to have reached this milestone and are already working on taking the next step: the recording and reduction of Scope 3 emissions. These are further indirect emissions along our entire value chain, such as those caused by suppliers, logistics or the use of our products.

Our goal is to further expand our responsibility for climate protection and to operate in an even more climate-friendly manner in the long term.
