If wrinkling occurs during the laminating process, it may have the following causes:

1. The relative paper moisture of the substrate is too low (should be between 50 % and 60 %)
2. At low paper grammages, the grain-direction plays a role (grain-direction should run parallel to the cylinder axis)
3. Too much or too little pressure during the laminating process
4. In the case of wet lamination, wrinkling may also occur due to excessive glue application
