TroPROTECT^®-X MATT – Brand new film grades from TroFilms GmbH

Georgensgmünd, 05. April 2018 – The German TroFilms GmbH, based in Georgensgmünd in Central Franconia, is launching a new film quality with immediate effect. Under the product name TroPROTECT^®-X MATT, the film specialist has developed and lead to market an excimer film, meeting all the requirements of modern film applications. In addition to a very high scratch and abrasion resistance at high matt grades with only 4.5 gloss levels (measured at 60 ° and a manufacturing tolerance of less than ± 1 gloss points) and excellent feel, this film quality can also convince by good tear resistance and very good processing qualities. Furthermore, the TroPROTECT^®-X MATT is basically hot foil stampable like almost all foils of the TroFilms GmbH, can be overcoated with radically curing UV lacquers and glued (preliminary tests are recommended for all processing processes).

 

Ralf Troyer, Managing Director of TroFilms GmbH on the new TroPROTECT^®-X MATT film: "Based on the requirements of the market and special wishes of our customers, we have developed the TroPROTECT^®-X MATT film, our first film in the excimer UV process. In contrast to conventional matting processes, this process does not involve the addition of matting agents but instead produces the mattness of the coating surface by means of excimer radiation optimally matched to the surface coating. As a result, a high degree of scratch and scrub resistance and excellent processability can be guaranteed with a high degree of mattness and excellent feel." Ralf Troyer continues "As usual with all our films, the new TroPROTECT^®-X MATT film also undergoes comprehensive and continuous process control and quality monitoring and we are proud to be able to reduce manufacturing tolerances to less than plus / minus one gloss level, which is an excellent value, especially for excimer films."

 

The TroPROTECT^®-X MATT is available in three grades: TroPROTECT^®-X MATT WET as a wet-adhesive film, TroPROTECT^®-X MATT THERMAL as a thermal film for regular applications, and TroPROTECT^®-X MATT DIGITAL as a thermal film specially optimized for digital printing. It can be ordered worldwide in all three qualities via TroFilms GmbH and its sales partners.
